    Yes! We accept most insurance plans but please call the member services phone number on the back of your insurance card to verify.
  • Can I make appointments at the Sarasota or Manatee County locations?
    No. We are happy to see our patients at either location. We have 2 convient offices in Sarasota and Bradenton to accomidate our patients busy calendars.
  • Do you see pediatric patients?
    Yes! Dr. Gerber and Alex Anne Brown are happy to see pediatric patients.

  • Do you perform preventative skin cancer screening?
    Orchid Dermatology DOES NOT do preventative skin cancer screening, this service is provided by your Primary Care Physician. We perform Full Body Skin Exams where we can evaluate, treat, prescribe, and perform procedures all in one visit. A Preventative Skin Cancer Screening is when insurance only allows the provider to look for abnormal moles or lesions. No other skin issues can be addressed, no procedures can be done, and no prescriptions can be ordered at this visit.
  • Do we treat skin tags?
    Yes, Orchid Dermatology treats benign lesions such as skin tags, seborrheic keratoses, and benign moles. The removal of these benign lesion(s) are considered cosmetic in nature and are not covered by medical insurance plans. The cost of the cosmetic procedure is an out-of-pocket expense and is due in full at time of services rendered. Pricing: $150.00- for up to 15 lesions $250.00- for 15-30 lesions $400.00- for extensive/complex per zone
